OKW’s advanced STAR-KNOBS, designed for menu-driven electronic applications, are now available in both flush-fitting and surface-mount versions, offering greater flexibility across various industries.
These ergonomic collet knobs are compatible with rotary potentiometers and rotary pulse generators featuring round shaft ends (DIN 41591). They are ideal for use in measurement and control systems, healthcare devices, HVAC, communications, building management, and Smart Factory technologies.
STAR-KNOBS come with click rotation and a push-to-confirm (‘OK’) functionality, ensuring ease of use. The surface-mount version is slightly tapered towards the inner axis for added comfort. Both versions can be specified with or without knurls and/or a finger recess in the cover, catering to user preferences.
Optional LED illumination is available for both designs. The flush-fitting knobs can feature a ring of light between the recess and the knob cover, while the surface-mount version sits on a 3 mm high ring that can also be illuminated.
Available in two sizes, 33 mm and 41 mm in diameter, each STAR-KNOB comprises three parts: an assembly kit, a knob, and a cover. These components are moulded from PA 6 and PC (UL 94 HB) and come in standard colours including volcano, nero, diamond, emerald, and sapphire.
Two 5V energy-saving SMD LED illumination kits are offered as accessories, available in white or RGB. Additional accessories include assembly supports, round nuts, and a box spanner.
OKW also offers full customisation services for STAR-KNOBS, including CNC machining, lacquering, printing, laser marking, and the installation or assembly of accessories.
