The BilgeClear bilge water filtration systems prevents oils and hydrocarbons from being discharged overboard when boats and ships pump out bilge water. Bilge water is often contaminated with emulsified fuels, lubricating oils and greases which cannot be separated. Where discharge from bilge tanks is permitted it is a requirement that oil filtering equipment be fitted so as to ensure that the oil content of any discharge does not exceed the maximum permitted under MARPOL (15ppm). BilgeClear filtration systems remove approx. 99% of oils and hydrocarbons from bilge water ensuring discharge levels are below MARPOL regulations. Bilge water containing high concentrations of oils (250ppm) is generally reduced to below 3ppm,
