Calibration Syringe Many PCTs now advise or rule along with the NICE guidlines which say spirometers should be calibrated more frequently on a daily basis as has been the case in lung function departments for many years. As it it costly and impractical to call out any engineer to do this on a daily basis, the only choice is to purchase a calibration syringe and carry out a calibration or accuracy verification as and when required.
