Sealant Backing Strip 10mm X 1100 Metres

This 10mm Sealant Backing Strip is supplied in a 1100 metre length and is designed for use as a backing material behind joint sealants and caulking products. It helps support the correct joint depth while providing a flexible secondary backing within expansion and movement joints.

Suitable applications include vertical and elevated horizontal joints in concrete, brick and metal, as well as copings, doors, windows, curtain walling and precast units. It can also be used for selected furniture and piping applications.

The backing strip is flexible, waterproof and has good recovery properties. It is compatible with common joint sealants including silicone, polysulphide, polyurethane, butyl, bitumen and acrylic products, and does not require a separate bond breaker between the backing material and sealant.
