In our pursuit of advancing electric-powered machinery, it is crucial to gain a comprehensive understanding of their performance. That is precisely why we have introduced the Standard Duty Cycle (SDC) test—a process designed to offer a realistic representation of the usage capabilities of our machines.
What exactly is the Standard Duty Cycle test? The Niftylift Standard Duty Cycle (SDC) test provides us with practical insights into the actual work capacity of each of our machines. By subjecting our machines to a series of real-world tasks, we not only evaluate their ability to execute specific workloads but also enable direct comparisons of their performance.
How does it operate? The SDC test commences with a fully charged machine. The machine then proceeds to perform a sequence of its functions, carrying the full Safe Working Load at maximum speed.
Each of these sequences constitutes a Standard Duty Cycle. We repeat these cycles until the machine's battery is depleted or the machine can no longer operate. The number of Standard Duty Cycles executed on a single full charge determines the machine's SDC rating. To ensure accurate insights into machine performance, we have tailored custom SDC tests for each product range, mirroring the typical usage scenarios for that specific machine type.
All of our All-Electric machines boast an SDC rating of 32 or higher, which is twice the industry standard. In fact, some of our machines can even operate continuously for up to five days on a single charge!
