Niftylift’s EHS Officer, Nick Fox, has completed an extraordinary 250km run from the company’s Hoyland site in South Yorkshire to its Shenley Wood headquarters in Milton Keynes, raising £2,450 for Leukaemia UK in memory of colleague and friend, Brailer Cuevas.
The four-day ultramarathon, which took place between 30 May and 2 June 2025, marked the first anniversary of Brailer’s passing. A Senior Control Systems Engineer at Niftylift, Brailer sadly died on 1 June 2024 following complications related to leukaemia.
“Hopefully, I did Brailer proud,” said Nick. “It was a rollercoaster with some very interesting sights along the way—but every step was worth it.”
Nick’s incredible self-funded journey saw him run a total of 250km over 38 hours and 24 minutes of active time. His efforts were accompanied by live GPS tracking, daily video updates, and a dedicated website featuring everything from kit lists and calorie tracking to route maps and gear reviews. A highlights video of the challenge is also in development.

This challenge was more than a test of endurance—it was a deeply personal tribute to a much-loved colleague, and a powerful reflection of the camaraderie and determination that defines the Niftylift team.
