Niftylift's patented DeckRider system has been engineered to allow selected HeightRider boom lifts to operate on unfinished structural floors during multi-storey construction.
Instead of conventional wheels, the system uses steel skid assemblies designed to span the building's structural beams. This transfers the machine's weight into the primary steelwork rather than concentrating loads through four tyre contact points.
The machine retains its full working envelope, outreach, working height and safe working load when configured as a DeckRider. The conversion is also reversible, allowing the skids to be removed and wheels refitted so the machine can return to normal self-propelled operation.
Originally deployed on London's Heron Tower project, DeckRider has subsequently supported major structural steel projects including The Shard, The Place and 100 Cheapside.
