NGK positions C17510 Beryllium Copper for sensor terminals in automotive electronics. C17510, or CuNi2Be / Berylco 14, is positioned as a high-conductivity beryllium copper alloy with strong formability. NGK says its B14 S temper combines excellent conductivity with high strength and can be supplied mill-hardened so stamped parts do not need extra heat treatment after forming. Automotive sensors benefit from an alloy that balances conductivity, formability and strength. For manufacturers, that means better reliability in service and fewer compromises during forming, machining or assembly.
