NGK positions C17510 Beryllium Copper for high-conductivity relay springs in control equipment. C17510, or CuNi2Be / Berylco 14, is positioned as a high-conductivity beryllium copper alloy with strong formability. NGK says its B14 S temper combines excellent conductivity with high strength and can be supplied mill-hardened so stamped parts do not need extra heat treatment after forming. Relay and switch parts need conductivity without turning into soft noodles after forming. That combination is exactly why these products appear in demanding designs instead of being left to cheaper alloys that would tap out early.
