NGK positions C17300 Beryllium Copper for precision sensor hardware in advanced automotive systems. C17300, or CuBe2Pb / Berylco 33/25, is NGK’s free-machining beryllium copper rod alloy. The lead addition lifts machinability dramatically, helping chip breakage, lowering tool wear and making the alloy well suited to precision turned parts that still need strength, conductivity and fatigue performance. Small machined parts in sensors and controls benefit from strength and predictable chip formation. For manufacturers, that means better reliability in service and fewer compromises during forming, machining or assembly.
