C17300, or CuBe2Pb / Berylco 33/25, is NGK’s free-machining beryllium copper rod alloy. The lead addition lifts machinability dramatically, helping chip breakage, lowering tool wear and making the alloy well suited to precision turned parts that still need strength, conductivity and fatigue performance. Where copper-alloy durability and machining productivity must coexist, C17300 makes a sensible candidate. That combination is exactly why these products appear in demanding designs instead of being left to cheaper alloys that would tap out early.
