NGK positions C17300 Beryllium Copper for electroplated machined contacts in electrical hardware manufacturing. C17300, or CuBe2Pb / Berylco 33/25, is NGK’s free-machining beryllium copper rod alloy. The lead addition lifts machinability dramatically, helping chip breakage, lowering tool wear and making the alloy well suited to precision turned parts that still need strength, conductivity and fatigue performance. The alloy is easy to electroplate, which matters for machined electrical contact parts. For manufacturers, that means better reliability in service and fewer compromises during forming, machining or assembly.
