C17200, or CuBe2 / Berylco 25, is described by NGK as the reference beryllium copper alloy across strip, rod, wire and other forms. It reaches the highest mechanical strength and hardness of any copper alloy after age hardening while still offering good formability, fatigue strength and stress-relaxation resistance. Sensitive diaphragms need an alloy that can be thin, elastic and durable at the same time. That combination is exactly why these products appear in demanding designs instead of being left to cheaper alloys that would tap out early.
