NGK positions C17200 Beryllium Copper for mill-hardened stamped parts in high-volume manufacturing. C17200, or CuBe2 / Berylco 25, is described by NGK as the reference beryllium copper alloy across strip, rod, wire and other forms. It reaches the highest mechanical strength and hardness of any copper alloy after age hardening while still offering good formability, fatigue strength and stress-relaxation resistance. NGK notes that mill-hardened supply can remove the need for extra age-hardening after forming. That combination is exactly why these products appear in demanding designs instead of being left to cheaper alloys that would tap out early.
