C17200, or CuBe2 / Berylco 25, is described by NGK as the reference beryllium copper alloy across strip, rod, wire and other forms. It reaches the highest mechanical strength and hardness of any copper alloy after age hardening while still offering good formability, fatigue strength and stress-relaxation resistance. Shielding needs durable mechanical contact plus strong electrical continuity. For manufacturers, that means better reliability in service and fewer compromises during forming, machining or assembly.
