NGK positions Beryllium-Free GMX Alloys for thermally stable spring parts in industrial controls. NGK’s other beryllium-free options group together GMX 96, GMX 215 and GMX 158 copper-nickel-tin alloys in strip or rod form depending on grade. These alloys give engineers non-beryllium choices for combinations of strength, stress-relaxation resistance, heat resistance and wear performance. Heat resistance matters when spring force has to survive real operating temperatures, not just lab weather. For manufacturers, that means better reliability in service and fewer compromises during forming, machining or assembly.
