NGK positions Beryllium-Free GMX Alloys for non-beryllium connector materials in product development. NGK’s other beryllium-free options group together GMX 96, GMX 215 and GMX 158 copper-nickel-tin alloys in strip or rod form depending on grade. These alloys give engineers non-beryllium choices for combinations of strength, stress-relaxation resistance, heat resistance and wear performance. This alloy family exists for teams that want copper performance without defaulting to beryllium grades. For manufacturers, that means better reliability in service and fewer compromises during forming, machining or assembly.
