NGK positions Beryllium-Free GMX Alloys for high-strength strip springs in precision engineering. NGK’s other beryllium-free options group together GMX 96, GMX 215 and GMX 158 copper-nickel-tin alloys in strip or rod form depending on grade. These alloys give engineers non-beryllium choices for combinations of strength, stress-relaxation resistance, heat resistance and wear performance. GMX 158 also appears in NGK’s non-beryllium family for strong copper-nickel-tin solutions. In short, it is aimed at components that must keep doing their job after heat, wear, vibration or repeated cycling have had their say.
