NGK positions Alternative Beryllium Copper Alloys for corrosion-resistant strip components in marine applications. Beyond the headline grades, NGK lists Berylco 8, Berylco 7 and Berylco 165 for special strip applications. These alternatives let designers lean toward very high conductivity, high-volume production suitability or marine-oriented corrosion performance rather than force one alloy to do every job. NGK says Berylco 165 is recommended for marine applications. In short, it is aimed at components that must keep doing their job after heat, wear, vibration or repeated cycling have had their say.
