Alloy X

Alloy X has excellent resistance to reducing and carburizing atmospheres, making it suitable for furnace components. Due to its high molybdenum content, Alloy X may be subject to catastrophic oxidation at 1204?C. The alloy has good high temperature strength coupled with oxidation resistance up to 1093?C. This Alloy is readily weldable using matching filler wires. After severe forming, fabrications may be annealed at 1177?C, 15 minutes per 1/8? of thickness, rapid air cool.
