ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Standard

Milton Keynes were recently audited against the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental standard. We are pleased to announce re-certification was successfully completed and we are fully compliant. ISO 14001:2015 The ISO 14001:2015 is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. Helping organisations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste. Approval was first achieved back in 2004 and in addition to boosting our competitiveness we have used 14001 to make big improvements such as increasing our recycling rate and reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill. With effective communication, we ensure that all staff are environmentally engaged and are aware of our site’s potential impact on the environment. In October we were subjected to a re-certification audit, carried out every 3 years by an approved certification body, we are proud to announce that our certification was renewed and no non conformities found during the audit. ISO 45001:2018 ISO 45001:2018 is a new international standard for occupational health and safety that will provide an internationally accepted framework that will help protect employees as well as protecting the longevity and health of our organisation. It will replace the established and well-known OHSAS 18001 standard which is due to be withdrawn in 2021. Upon publication of ISO 45001 in 2018 a 3-year period of migration was granted allowing organisations, already certified to OHSAS 18001, to upgrade their health and safety management systems.
