Transfer Metal Pressings

Multiforms can also process a variety of “Metal pressings” utilising the Transfer press method of manufacturing with our Platarg press capacity. Transfer metal-pressing is similar to progression metal-pressing which is a process is also offered by Multiforms . . . However, during the Transfer metal-pressing process the component part is “transferred” from stage to stage during its manufacture from raw strip material to finish component. The main benefit of using this type of manufacture is the component is free from the strip raw material which allows the component or “blank” to be developed freely, in the case of Platarg presses using “fingers” to pick up and place the blank through its various stages. The Transfer metal-pressing process is an excellent option for the production of components and can offer the benefit of much lower tooling investments. Within the Multiforms Transfer Pressing/stamping cell we have the ability to add pierced holes, chamfering, cut-outs and ribs, Multiforms can also add threading of components within the manufacturing process which will often take out or reduce the cost of secondary operations.
