New Photo Solutions from Mitsubishi Electric
22-09-2010
Mitsubishi Electrics Visual Information Systems division, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high quality, digital
photo imagery technology, will be premiering at Photokina 2010 a number of new retail solutions and compact photo printing
solutions that are ideal for professional event photographers and system integrators.
POCKETBOOK
Enhancing Mitsubishis retail offering is Pocketbook Maker – the easy way to share! In only three steps customers can create
a fun pocket book that can be given as a gift or kept to remember holidays and special moments. The easy to follow
instructions allow customers to select a theme, decide which pictures they want to use from their media card and choose the
cover image and title for their pocket book!
Mitsubishis Pocketbook is available as 4” x 6” print format and customers have the option of choosing between 10 to 30
pages per book. There are a variety of layouts and themes available and once the customer is happy their pocket book will be
automatically completed in approximately 5 minutes!
Pocketbook Maker is an ideal solution for supermarkets, gift stores, theme parks, shopping centres, pharmacies and
photographic shops. It can be purchased as a stand alone unit or connected to a full Mitsubishi Flexilab solution for customers
looking at expanding their stores services.
COMPACT CLASS PRINTER
Mitsubishi Electric has long been associated as being one of the preferred suppliers to the professional event photographer
and system integrator markets; with many of our dye sublimation printers and solutions being used in ID photo booths, theme
parks and at wedding, graduation and black tie events.
At Photokina 2010, Mitsubishi Electric is presenting its new compact instant printer for professional photo systems, the CPD70.
Compact in design it measures 446 mm in depth, a mere 170 mm in height and an extremely low breadth of 275 mm.
With that, it requires only 40% of the volume of space of a comparable previous model. The second model being launched is
a double-deck printer for parallel operation: with otherwise identical outer dimensions, the CP-D707 has twice the height at
340 mm, however, it still has less total volume than comparable single models in this performance category.
Both models are space-saving front-load construction, each can be quickly filled with fresh media thanks to the simple
extension of the filling unit. Despite their compact design these printers can still hold substantial volumes of photo paper, with
the CP+D707 holding enough 4” x 6” media for 800 prints.
A unique feature of the CP-D707 is that it is capable of producing three different size formats and its high speed processing at
a mere 6 seconds per 4” x 6” print makes it a leader in its class.
Further special features are the dust-proof housing design, which prevents penetration of particles of dirt, and the special
cooling system, which protects the new printer from overheating even with a high throughput.
A special Eco idle mode provides for additional energy savings with a current consumption of below one watt. The model
automatically switches over to this mode from the standard stand-by mode after a certain period of inactivity. The printer is
immediately ready for use again as soon as a USB command is received.
The CP-D70 and the double-decker printer CP-D707 are available as both photo system and PC models. All four model
variants will be available with the product introduction at Photokina.
Mitsubishi Electric will be presenting the latest generation of its photo systems and printers on its Photokina stand of over 250
sq.m. in Hall 06.1, Stand A021 B020.
