Mitsubishi Electric and Lucidiom partner at Focus on Imaging 2013 to bring the very latest in retail photo imaging solutions
5 February 2013: Mitsubishi Electric’s Visual Information Systems division, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high quality digital photo imagery technology, will partner with Lucidiom at this year’s Focus on Imaging show at the NEC, Birmingham to showcase the very latest trends and designs in photo kiosks and digital printing solutions. Lucidiom, a long-standing strategic business partner of Mitsubishi Electric, is one of the world’s leading providers of brand-independent photo kiosk solutions, enabling retailers to capitalise on the growth of digital photography through a suite of innovative products including kiosk, websites, applications and production management software. Commenting, Paul Jones, Mitsubishi’s Sales Manager stated, “Focus 2013 is becoming an increasingly important part of the photo imaging calendar and particularly so for independent retailers who will be expecting to see how the new generation of photo kiosks can significantly boost incremental revenue opportunities generated from both high-quality prints and photo gifts”. Focus on Imaging is Europe's biggest annual imaging show and as such draws a wide audience including professional and amateur photographers, processors and a growing audience of equipment buyers, including the independent and multiple sectors. Retailers of all shapes and sizes are quickly capitalising on the potential of incremental revenues that photo imaging services can bring. More significantly, retailers are also seeing the growing consumer demand for photo gifting, whereby photos images can be applied to a wide range of products such as mugs, t-shirts, mobile phone cases as well as calendars, photo books and greetings cards. At Focus on Imaging 2013, Mitsubishi and Lucidiom will be showcasing a full range of retail solutions that allows the retailer the flexibility to market and sell in the way that suits their business model. Mitsubishi Electric will be displaying their range of range of EasyPhoto counter kiosks including the K60, specially designed for smaller retailers, and the ID70 that produces bio-metric images for passports and photo IDs. Mitsubishi will also be showing the CP-K60DW-S, the company’s very latest dye-sublimation printer that delivers high-resolution printing up to 300dpi, together with finishing techniques preferred by professional photographers, and the ability to dramatically reduce all-over operating costs. Lucidiom will be showing their APM self-service digital photo kiosk software that allows consumers to order photo prints and gifts from their digital images. In addition to using images from their camera media card or USB, consumers can scan prints, access images from Facebook or other online sites, or import images from a smartphone directly into the kiosk. The APM software is fully customisable so that retailers can tailor the kiosk to fit their market and business model. The APM will fit seamlessly within any lab environment or fulfilment workflow and connects to any printer for easy instant, back-lab or remote production. Lucidiom will also show case Photo Finale their white label photo shopping, sharing and ordering web site. Custom branded to your company’s logo it provides secure photo storage and project sharing. To extend their service Lucidiom have also created an App to gift to your client data base which allows customers access to ordering 24/7 and you to do business when your store is closed.
