By integrating a stylish slim-bezel design with the very latest technological features, Mitsubishi have developed a first class LCD monitor which is ideal for a variety of applications including digital signage, retail outlets, security control rooms and airport information points. Mitsubishi’s MDT521S is beautifully designed and benefits from an attractive 19.5mm aluminum bezel, available in either a black or silver option. The narrow bezel gives the monitor a sleek appearance and minimizes image distortion in tiled installations; a combination of 25 panels (5 wide x 5 high) can be installed in one configuration to create a large format image or a variety of smaller high impact displays. With a new structure design feature this LCD can be used in landscape and portrait modes, as well as full-flat, face-up installations, for unique floor fittings. Benefiting from superior functionality, the MDT521S is the first LCD monitor to offer both front and rear ambient light sensors to gather data on lighting conditions. Featuring a brightness control function, the monitor interprets the data and automatically changes the brightness in accordance to the installation environment. Particularly useful for digital signage applications where lighting conditions are constantly changing, this application not only optimizes viewing, but also reduces power consumption and overall running costs. This LCD guarantees crystal clear images, with features such as a full 1080p resolution, a high brightness of 700 cd/m² and an advanced contrast ratio of 2000:1. For more dynamic visuals, the picture-in-picture, picture-out-picture and side-by-side function allows video and data inputs to be displayed simultaneously. In addition this display monitor features a range of colour temperature adjustments and a six-axis colour fine-tuning function for outstanding picture quality and precise colour reproduction. The MDT521S comes equipped with a CAT5 receiver that reduces the amount of components required for streamline installations, eliminating any cable clutter. In addition, the built-in CAT5 receiver enables the connection of much longer cables without degrading the image quality. Video and RS-485 serial-control signals can also be delivered over the same CAT5 cable, removing the need for a separate serial-control cable and can link up to five monitors in daisy-chain effect, making content delivery easy and efficient. A new programmable scheduling and multi-level screen saver function has been developed to save energy, increase the panels service life and reduce overall running costs. Up to seven different intervals can be activated by time, day of the week, input port and separate content feeds can be programmed. Displays can automatically turn on and off, or set to one of four screen saver functions.
