Meritics had the pleasure of hosting Sophia Lorke, Field Application Specialist from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, for the installation and training of the BioLector XT Microbioreactor.

With our extensive experience in the UK biologics sector and highly skilled application and laboratory personnel, we are the ideal partner to demonstrate the real-world applications of the BioLector XT Microbioreactor.
What is the BioLector XT? This advanced microbioreactor allows for real-time evaluation of crucial cultivation parameters such as biomass, fluorescence, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO) in the liquid phase, and more, catering to both aerobes and anaerobes.
Based on the trusted BioLector Pro technology, the BioLector XT Microbioreactor operates using a standard ANSI/SLAS (SBS) microtiter plate (MTP) format and features online, pre-calibrated optical sensors. The use of disposable 48-well MTPs enables continuous measurement of cultivation parameters, while the patented microfluidic technology facilitates simultaneous pH control and feeding. The optional microfluidic module eliminates the need for manual liquid handling, as everything is conveniently integrated into the ready-to-use plate.
During the training session, Sophia provided in-depth instrument and software training to both Meritics and the Beckman Coulter Life Sciences UK team. The knowledge gained has fueled our excitement to offer demonstrations of this remarkable product here in the UK.
