Meritics Exhibits at CHEMUK 2026

Meritics will be exhibiting at CHEMUK 2026 on 20 and 21 May at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. The event brings together companies, manufacturers and technical specialists from the chemicals, process engineering and formulated product industries.

The Meritics stand will focus on how advanced particle characterisation and stability analysis can support product development, quality control and process optimisation. Visitors will be able to discuss practical analytical challenges and explore a selection of instrumentation for powders, emulsions, suspensions, dispersions and more complex formulations.

A key instrument on display will be the Beckman Coulter LS 13 320 XR, a high-performance laser diffraction particle size analyser. Its broad measurement capability makes it suitable for laboratories requiring fast and repeatable particle size data across a wide range of chemical applications.

Meritics will also showcase the Bettersizer 2600 Plus, which combines laser diffraction with dynamic imaging. The system provides particle size distribution alongside morphological information, helping users understand how particle characteristics can affect stability, processing and the performance of formulated products.

The BeScan Lab Stability Analyser will demonstrate the use of Static Multiple Light Scattering technology to assess the physical stability of emulsions and suspensions. By identifying changes such as sedimentation, creaming and phase separation at an early stage, the instrument can help formulation teams compare products and investigate shelf-life performance without relying solely on lengthy visual storage studies.

Completing the main instrument line-up is the BeNano 180 Zeta Max, a nanoparticle characterisation platform capable of measuring particle size, zeta potential, molecular weight and dispersion stability. It is particularly relevant to advanced chemical formulations, nanomaterials and complex colloidal systems where surface charge and stability can have a significant influence on product behaviour.

Accurate particle characterisation has applications throughout the chemicals sector. Coatings, pigments, inks, agrochemicals, polymers, catalysts and battery materials can all depend on consistent particle properties to achieve the required manufacturing and product performance.
