MCM manufacture a range of fast responding, portable and online moisture measuring instruments for use in Electricity Generation & Transmission. The Microview portable is a very fast responding, temperature controlled moisture analyser with a built in data logger that displays data in a graphical form for easy and informative interpretation. Temperature control ensures stability of data and Traceability - something not possible with non temperature controlled aluminium oxide based technologies which suffer from tempertaure coefficients of up to 4% per degree C. MCM's unique sensor drying function ensures a removal of all hysteresis effects which further enhances the reliability of the result by drying the sensor before each measurement. This ensures superior repeatability as each measurement is approached from the same direction, every time. Response speed to a stable reading in under 2 minutes from wet to dry makes this the instrument of choice for testing SF6 and air blast switchgear. For alternator hydrogen monitoring we recommend the online version, the Microview Compact. Also tempertaure controlled at 45 degrees Celsius it is more resistant to contaminants and suffers from less drift than aluminium oxide based technologies.
