New range of Spares Packages
Having the best equipment is only half the battle when it comes to accurate moisture measurement. See how we can help improve your methodology and instrument care with our range of spares packages. In response to increasing customer demand MCM are now pleased to offer a choice of three optional spares packages for use with our range of portable and on-line hygrometers. The spares packages have been designed to offer a set of standard sample system components that help promote best methodology of use and facilitate good instrument care. The materials employed are of optimum quality for moisture analysis and provide a consistent approach to sampling that has been proven to significantly reduce errors associated with poor handling and the use of inappropriate materials. MCM offers two standard spares packages:- SP1 - Standard Sampling Package* •1 x Flowmeter (range 60-600 cc/minute) •1 x Stainless steel needle valve •3 x 0.5m length of 1/8" stainless steel pipe •1/8" Stainless steel nuts and olives This package is designed to aid the user in establishing reliable gas flows at atmospheric pressure, and provides recommended sample pipe that is of the requisite quality for accurate moisture analysis. - Adopt a standard measurement methodology with MCM's recommended set-up. - High quality stainless steel components help minimise moisture ingress. - Minimise the effects of hysteresis and increase the speed of sample system dry down. SP2 - Dry Gas Sampling Package* As per SP1 but with the inclusion of:- •1 x Bottled Gas Dryer (BGD), complete with 1/4" to 1/8" reducer fittings •1 x Additional stainless steel needle valve •1 x "T" piece •2 x Additional lengths of 1/8" stainless steel pipe •1/8" Stainless steel nuts and olives This package is recommended for clients who are sampling potentially contaminated gases, or those applications that require a known "dry" reference gas. The BGD is a portable desiccant dryer that provides a constant flow of "dry" gas - use of the BGD can help the user monitor and correct for levels of zero drift, remove light contamination from the sensor and optimise the mean time between servicing. - Validate sample data by cross-referencing against a known "dry" gas condition. - Use the "dry" zero gas to test the zero value of the hygrometer, before and after sampling. - Quantify the impact of gas-borne contamination and ensure reproducibility of results. SP3 - Replacement Desiccant Package As per SP1 but with the inclusion of:- •2 x Spare stainless steel desiccant seals •1 x Sealed pack of regenerated desiccant •2 x 1/8" union fitting This consumable package is recommended for all clients, and is designed to aid in storing and transporting a hygrometer in its best possible condition. - Low cost spares package to protect your hygrometers during storage and transportation. - Proper storage of the hygrometer helps protect the sensor and thus optimises performance. - Sealed pack of regenerated desiccant is sufficient to replenish ten individual desiccant seals. For more demanding applications or processes with unique requirements, the scope of supply can be customised to suit the client's requirements. To order any of the spares packages please contact the MCM Service Department (tel: +44 (0)1937 843927; email: service@mcm-moisture.com), stating the appropriate package code. * Spares Packages SP1 and SP2 include detailed operating instructions, which include MCM's standard recommended operating methodology and advice for optimum performance.
