Alocrom 1000 Chromate conversion can provide a cost effective non-electrolytic process for coating, and protecting aluminium. Its wear properties are inferior compared to sulphuric anodising, and it is easily scratched, but offers a fantastic surface for painting, bonding and where electrical conductivity is required.
