Multi-Channel Alarm Units

Lee-Dickens supplies two multi-channel enclosure mounting alarm units, the BM191 Latching Alarm and the BM192 Non-Latching Alarm. Both units are SIL rated. The BM191/BM192 are DC powered Alarm Units suitable for use with a number of different VA Flowmeters. They can be configured for use as a Low or a High Flow Alarm, as required. Each different VA Flowmeter will require a different sensor head for mechanical reasons but in all cases the operation of the Alarm Unit is the same. The sensor heads, which have to be ordered separately, come with 5M of cable for connection to the Alarm Unit. The BM191/BM192 have an “Instrument Fault” indication LED (Amber) which is triggered following loss of power or loss of connection to the Head. This and the Latched relay on the BM191 can only be cleared by passing the float from the Alarm State to the Healthy State and pressing the RESET button to initiate the “Stable” condition. The BM192 relay will reset as soon as the float on the VA flowmeter passes from the alarm condition back to the stable condition. Both instruments also incorporate a sensitivity adjustment to cater for different VA Flowmeters. The multi-way enclosures come in either a 4 way or a 9 way and either AC or DC powered.
