M0600 Shutdown Unit

Stand alone engine protection Provides complete redundancy in combination with M2000 Can be mounted on the rear side of the M2000 Satisfies even the strictest Marine Classification requirements The M0600 provides protection for any type of diesel or gas engine. The unit has inputs for overspeed, low oil pressure and a user defined input which can be used to monitor e.g. high water temperature. The M0600 has an input to indicate that the engine is running and another input to indicate that the engine is in the process of being halted. An output relay will give a closing signal, which can be used to stop the engine via the the fuel valve or the stop solonoid (if available). The M0600 will work as a stand-alone protection unit for DIN-rail mounting. Alternatively, when limited space is available, the M0600 can be mounted directly on the rear side of the M2000 Engine Controller. Most marine classification societies have begun to tighten requirements for marine based engine control and protection systems. In some cases the classification societies demand complete redundancy for all protection functions which are considered "safety critical" (risk of personal injury or loss of essential services). The only way to ensure this level of redundancy, is to provide two completly separated systems - the combination of the SELCO M2000 and the M0600 satisfies these strict requirements, as the two units are completely and totally independant.
