KFC National 5 a-side tournament – Kentucky Cup

John Anthony Signs were pleased to be asked to enter a team for the KFC Kentucky Cup held at Star City in Birmingham on Tuesday 15th October 2013. John Anthony Signs made it through to the regional qualifiers held in Chingford to make it to the national finals against a further 12 teams that also qualified for the event. After loosing our 1st game 2-0 against Telford (the ultimate champions), we won 2, drew 1 and lost 1 game to make it to the quarterfinals. John Anthony Signs had a hard fought game against Coventry but lost 1-0 after some incredible saves by Coventry’s goalie, which meant we were knocked out of the competition but had a fabulous day and we thank KFC for the opportunity to be involved.
