Find The Needle Add My Company
It’s the home of Greenwich Mean Time. It’s the prime meridian of the world, and as such the official starting point for each new day and year. It’s also home to London’s only planetarium, the Harrison timekeepers and the UK’s largest refracting telescope. The history of this famous site dates back to 1675, the year it was founded by King Charles II. So it was only fitting that the signage we developed should be equally capable of being able to stand the test of time. Many of the signs we produced were coated in vitreous enamel. With a lifespan of up to fifty years this makes them perfect for withstanding outside weather in public spaces – with no risk of fading, scratching or damage by vandalism. Educating and informing people in the redeveloped and extended new Meridian Garden, they were part of a complete signage system that also included all the wayfinding, site maps, directional signage, exhibit displays and the external letters on the buildings.
