The Hybrid Blue ADC Advanced Dry Cooler is a 2nd generation wetted media adiabatic cooler which brings improved technical and energy/water saving features which benefit both the operator/owner and the installer. Presentation of benefits for the end user The Hybrid Blue ADC advanced dry cooler ensures low operating costs for the operator and provides environmentally efficient energy saving and water saving cooling technology. Integral intelligent control and variable speed inverter controlled fans optimise and minimise the energy consumption. Progressive and adaptive humidification ensures only the necessary amount of pre-cooling water is used and so minimises water use. Thus operating costs are kept to a minimum. Features - Chemical Free Operation – The mains quality pre-cooling water is not re-circulated and the system is completely drained when not in use. - Legionella safe – No sprays or aerosols. - Non – notifiable. Do not fall under the Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers act 1992 - Low noise level. - Space saving - Requires approximately 50% of the installation space of an equivalent dry air cooler. - Lowest water consumption - Unique design regulates the amount of pre-cooling water ensuring consumption is kept to a minimum. - Integral PLC control system with variable speed low energy EC fans. - Due to the unique tapered arrangement of the pre-cooling pads a compact arrangement of multiple coolers is possible. - There is no need for separate winter storage of pads. In cooler months (below 20°C), the lower part of the pre-cooling pads are raised. This decreases the air side pressure drop and therefore fan energy consumption is reduced. The base dry cooler Hybrid Blue is Eurovent certified and all devices are functionally tested prior to shipping ensuring specifications are met. Single-lift installation into place and hook-ups on site are simplified , reducing on-site costs, reducing site man-hours and simplifying site Health & Safety procedures. After connecting piping and electrical supply, the Hybrid Blue ADC can be commissioned and is then fully operational. Description The Jaeggi Hybrid Blue ADC Advanced Dry Cooler meets current and future market demands for energy efficient and water efficient cooling solutions . The Hybrid Blue ADC cooler combines two different principles of cooling: a. Primary dry cooling using ambient air, during lower ambient conditions b. Secondary pre-cooling by humidifying the intake air during peak summer ambient conditions. by evaporation of water humidification. The process fluid to be cooled flows inside the heat exchanger tubes and is cooled by the pre-cooled air passing over the finned heat exchangers. The intelligent control adjusts the speed of the fans and humidification flow depending on the cooling capacity required on the Hybrid Blue ADC cooler. The two heat exchangers with tubes and fins are arranged in a "V" on a self-supporting frame, which are flanked on the outer side by the pre-cooling humidification pads. The ADC Hybrid Blue can function as both a dry cooler or cooler as a hybrid. Performance The Hybrid Blue ADC cooler offers very high energy performance compared to current market standards. Thanks to the angular design and progressive humidification mode, combined with adaptive intelligent control, the Hybrid Blue ADC can operate in dry cooling mode to high summer ambient temperatures before the secondary pre-cooling/humidification operation is needed. Due to the unique layout and the large heat transfer area, it is possible to achieve a close approach temperature difference between cold water temperature and wet bulb temperature, meaning a large cooling capacity for a small footprint and a very low operating cost.
