Management Reorganisation at J+S

With effect from 2 August 2010, J+S has undertaken an organisational restructure within the management team. Eric Abretti, previously Operations Director, has now been appointed as Director of Engineering and will take on all the responsibilities from the previous Engineering Manager, Sue Boyle. In addition, Eric retains responsibility for the manufacturing operations on the Barnstaple site. Sue Boyle will relinquish her engineering management responsibilities and become an Engineering Consultant, taking up her pre-retirement role. Andy Toms will be appointed as Director for the Defence Business and in addition to his current Defence business development duties will assume responsibility for the Project Management activities of the Defence business. The Managing Director, David Jeffries, commented "With this reorganisation, each of our business leaders covering Defence, Oil and Gas, and Marine Renewables has responsibility for the business development and delivery of their business. Engineering and manufacturing at Barnstaple remain service functions supporting all of the business segments" Further information J+S Ltd operates from sites at Barnstaple and Aberdeen, employing 120 people engaged on a range of engineering and production activities, primarily in naval support, sub-sea asset management for the North Sea oil and gas exploration markets and the wave and tidal sectors of the Marine Renewables market place.
