As part of this commitment, we continually seek ways to support our employees' health and wellbeing.
Amid the pandemic, everyone has been affected in some way. One important lesson we've learned is the significance of prioritising our mental health. Earlier this year, we invested in an employee mental wellbeing programme to provide additional support. Furthermore, to further promote the health and wellbeing of all our staff, today we introduced fresh fruit for IWM employees. The fruit was made available on-site and was eagerly consumed within a couple of hours.
Promoting Healthy Eating Habits
Studies have shown that when fresh fruit is readily available, 70% of employees increase their fruit intake, while 45% decrease their consumption of unhealthy snacks. We hope to see similar positive trends among our team members at IWM.
The selection of fruit provided today included 48 portions of 5-7 fruit varieties, offering a seasonal mix.
In today’s health-conscious environment, we take additional precautions into consideration. For instance, each piece of fruit is individually compartmentalised within our crate, ensuring fruit separation (except for bananas, which have a removable skin). This minimises any perceived risk of cross-touching contamination, including grapes, bananas, and apples (red and green).
