In the last years trucks and batteries in leasing and rental business, particularly with long run time warranties, increased continuously. Although the battery is one of the most important components of forklift trucks, very little information is available from the battery. Existing battery monitoring systems often are expensive or not easy to use. Consequently these systems are used rarely in extreme applications only. The BatMon Electronic Battery Controller (EBC) has been developed in order to eliminate the information deficit around traction batteries.
