Rh Measurement in ATEX Zone 1 with a Wall Mounted Probe

There are two configurations of the HygroClip IW giving it greater flexibility: 1. It can be mounted on a wall in an ATEX zone 1 area, with the probe mounted directly on the HygroClip sensor enclosure, and allowing monitoring of an area. Similar to other HygroClip systems, in this configuration, a 4 to 20mA signal can be obtained directly from the instrument. This can be connected to a data acquisition (DAQ) or building management system (BMS) mounted in a safe area via the ZB1-420 zener barrier. The output can be supplied in terms of rh or temperature. 2. The sensor can alternatively be connected to a safe area mounted HTS transmitter. This provides a display and user configuration of the two analogue outputs (humidity and temperature), and two digital outputs (RS232 and RS485). The humidity output may be configured for rh, dew point or a number of other psychrometric scales.
