The EX-1000M is a useful tool for monitoring water pollution. It can monitor oil in water from low ppb to 20,000 ppm, and also automatically determine the type of oil detected, as well as measuring solids such as sand content of water. Individual spectra for different oils can be determined by the spectrometer, and correct measurement calibration can then be applied to report an accurate oil in water ppm level.
