Houlder delegation at GasTech 2014

Houlder has announced it is sending a delegation to Gastech 2014, Seoul, Korea from 24th – 27th March. This is in response to the growing trend in shipping towards LNG as fuel. Our team will take the opportunity to share the company’s specialist design, engineering and innovation capabilities with delegates and exhibitors. It will also promote its position as a founder member of the Society for Gas as Marine Fuel (SGMF) which encourages LNG’s safe and responsible use. Houlder designers and engineers are responding to an increased demand for Natural Gas as an alternative energy source to support lower ships’ emissions of Sulphur and Nitrous Oxides. With January 2015’s latest round of emission regulations looming, Houlder has been delivering feasibility studies, undertaking analysis and developing new equipment to help meet these demands. The following areas are of specific interest; • Infrastructure studies • Cargo handling and transfer (pictured) • Boil-off gas management • LNG Bunker/feeder and LNG fuelled vessel designs • Conversion to LNG burning propulsion The delegates will be attending the conference and staying at the Millennium Seoul Hilton Hotel from 22nd – 29th March.
