POP Display Panel

POP Display Panel Hmtooling supplied a 1+1+1 impression tool to produce a shop display panel and side cheeks. Volumes were only a few thousand so high quality aluminium was chosen for the main cavity and core plates. These were machined directly into the bolster plates, the narrow ribs being high speed machined (milled) using a small diameter carbide cutter. Parts were moulded from a clear polycarbonate coloured using orange masterbatch. The front face was finished using a high quality stick on label. Polycarbonate was chosen because of its high tempature resistance and exreme toughness.
