In fact, The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 states that all installed lightning protection systems are tested in accordance with the relevant standard (this will depend on when your system was installed) and at an interval of no more than 12 months. Over time, weather and soil conditions can change and reduce the effectiveness of a lightning protection system to the extent that improvements are required to ensure your system continues to protect you and your business.
