A number of base materials sourced against Customers specifications along with carbides used within the Hague Fasteners production facility incorporate tungsten and tantalum in their production. Is there any tantalum or tungsten from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Hague Fasteners products? Suppliers used by Hague Fasteners to supply materials and tooling all state that they are not purchasing any raw material from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Suppliers used by Hague Fasteners to supply materials and tooling incorporating tantalite all state that they do not have any enterprise in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. How does Hague Fasteners secure that there are no conflict minerals in the products? Hague Fasteners has a common sourcing function for the raw materials used within the production and hence a good control of the suppliers. Hague Fasteners make every effort to ensure suppliers used are familiar with and adopt similar practice to their Code of Conduct. Hague Fasteners keeps an open dialogue with the suppliers over time to help ensure that the expected Code of Conduct is observed. The Hague Fasteners Supplier Code of Conduct provides the minimum standards for becoming a supplier to Hague Fasteners and the qualifying standards where Hague Fasteners expects suppliers to continuously improve their performance. Hague Fasteners encourages the suppliers to evaluate and monitor their sub-suppliers with additional focus on high risk aspects in terms of countries and categories of purchase. Is it possible for Hague Fasteners products to contain conflict minerals? It is very unlikely that Hague Fasteners products contain conflict minerals due to purchase terms and good dialogue with suppliers. However, since Hague Fasteners is not physically on location to control each raw material delivery to our suppliers it is not possible to 100 per cent guarantee that no traces of conflict minerals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo are found in any associated base materials or in certain tooling used in our production.
