GWAS-R is a wraparound irradiated polyolefin splice closure system with a special fiber glass reinforcing layer with adhesive. GWAS-R offers superior mechanical protection, high resistance to impact, UV radiation and outstanding encapsulation properties. GWAS-R is suitable to restore low voltage (up to 1kV) XLPE and to repair of all types of nonpressurized cable: aerial, buried or ducted, non-filled or jelly filled with polyethylene or metal jackets.
