Managing Medicines on the School Premises

This one day course covers relevant information required to manage and administer medicines on a school premises. The course covers the standards for medicines management in school and early years settings, responsibilities for those administering medicines to children under 16 years old, record keeping, most common medical conditions in a school environment, and provides an overview of “Supporting Pupils at School with Medical Conditions guidance” issued by the Department of Education in September 2014, which replace previous guidance on Managing Medicines in Schools and Early Years Settings published on March 2005.
