EPDM vs PVC Pond Liner Comparison

EPDM and PVC both hold water, but they behave very differently over time. EPDM rubber stays flexible in cold weather, resists UV and lasts much longer. PVC at 0.5mm is lighter and cheaper, making it a fair choice for small or temporary ponds, but it stiffens with age.

Getting the basics right makes the difference between a pond that lasts and one that leaks. Good preparation, the right underlay and the right liner thickness are all worth the time.
