20,000 Trees and Counting!

Glasdon UK is thrilled to share a major accomplishment in our efforts towards sustainability.  Through expanding our virtual forest, we have successfully funded the planting of more than 20,000 trees in real-world locations.

In 2022, we teamed up with Ecologi to plant trees across the globe on behalf of our customers. We pledged to plant a tree for each interaction on our website, whether it be through live chat, generating a quote, or subscribing to our newsletter.

Changing The World, One Tree At A Time

We are excited to share that we have achieved a landmark of planting 20,000 trees. Currently, we have supported the growth of 22,571 trees through six different projects. These include initiatives such as restoring forests in Kenya, planting mangroves in Madagascar, and establishing forest gardens in Tanzania.

What’s more, our support has funded climate projects around the world, including wind power generation in Thailand and improving the efficiency of Metro Transport in India. In total, this has prevented 72 metric tonnes of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere. Visualised, this is equivalent to 55 long-haul flights, 178, 632 miles driven in a car, and 216m² of sea ice saved.

Who Are Ecologi?

Ecologi is a platform for real climate action. Facilitating the funding of carbon offset projects and tree planting around the world, Ecologi's mission is to reduce 50% of global CO2 emissions by 2040 and responsibly plant billions of trees every year.
