Ceiling Sound Baffles: A 2026 Guide for Modern Offices
Open ceilings and hard finishes can make otherwise attractive offices sound much busier than they really are.

What to consider
Suspended acoustic baffles help by absorbing sound in the upper part of the room, reducing reverberation from speech and general activity. They can be particularly effective in open-plan areas, cafés, breakout spaces and offices with exposed soffits where conventional suspended ceilings are not wanted. Spacing, depth, orientation and the amount of absorbent material all influence performance.

Baffles improve the overall acoustic condition of a room, but they do not create speech privacy. Where confidential calls or focused work are the problem, they are best used alongside zoning, screens and enclosed pods rather than as a complete solution on their own.
