Curved reception desks can create a softer, more contemporary entrance while giving designers more control over how visitors move through the space.
They work particularly well where the reception point is visible from several directions or where the desk needs to turn a corner without looking bulky. Integrated storage, accessible sections and cable routes should be planned into the design rather than added afterwards.
Material choice has a major impact on the final character. Timber, solid surface, laminates and metal details can all work, but the finish must withstand constant use and remain easy to clean.
